Our Veterinarians

Dr. Tammy Williamson, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Williamson graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001. She graduated from College of the Ozarks in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and minors in Chemistry & Animal Science. Dr. Williamson and her husband Jason have two children, Logan and Mikaela. She has seven dogs, seven cats, nine horses, seventy sheep, and one hundred cattle. Dr. Williamson has worked at the Animal Health Center of Dexter off and on since 2001. She has also worked in Small Animal Emergency & Internal Medicine and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, Dr. Williamson enjoys riding and camping with her horses out West.

Dr. Colleen Retz ,DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Retz graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003. She lives with her husband Matt and their two children, Megan and Will, in the Marble Hill area. She has seven cats, five dogs, four horses, two snakes, turkeys, and ducks. Dr. Retz started working at the Animal Health Center of Dexter in July of 2019. Dr. Retz has also worked at the Animal Health Center of Charleston. Dr. Retz enjoys horseback riding, hiking, travel, and rescuing animals in need.
Veterinary Technicians

Molly Propst

Office Manager & Veterinary Technician

Molly started as a Veterinary Technician in 1994 at the Animal Health Center of Sikeston. Molly also worked at the Animal Emergency Center for a time before she took time off to raise her 3 children with her husband Darrin. She came back to the veterinary field in January 2016 when she took her position here at AHC of Dexter. Molly's love for animals inspired her career choice. She has four pets: Johnny, Magie, Ollie, and Sammie. Working with animals is something she will always be passionate about.

Lariat Hollida

RVT Registered Veterinary Technician

Lariat graduated from Three Rivers College in 2014 with an Associate in Agriculture & AAS Ag Science. She graduated from Murray State with a BAS Vet Technology. Lariat does not have any children but does have four fur babies: Kosh, Hachi, Petri, & Tazzy. Lariat started working for Animal Health Center of Dexter in 2019 as a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Hallie Keathley

RVT Registered Veterinary Technician

Hallie graduated with a BSA in Veterinary Technology from Murray State University in May of 2022. She has Two fur babies, Sakari & Bailey. She started working for Animal Health Center in 2018.

Ashton Grainger

Veterinary Technician

Ashton started working for Animal Health Center in 2011 as a Kennel Worker then in 2013 she started to work as a veterinary technician. Ashton has three children: Aden, Archer, and Aberlee. She has five dogs, three cats, two horses, one goat, and a coop full of chickens. She has also worked for Animal Health Center of Charleston and Animal Health Center of Sikeston.

Megan Trewatha

Veterinary Technician

Megan has one fur baby, Tavie. She started working for Animal Health Center of Dexter in June of 2020.

Debbie Johnson

Veterinary Technician

Debbie attended Three Rivers College in Poplar bluff from 1995-1998. She has five fur babies: DeDe, Nelson, Carvelle, Silas, and Sedate. She started working at Animal Health Center of Dexter in November of 2016. Debbie has also worked at Stoddard Animal Clinic and Dexter Veterinary Clinic. Debbie loves working at Animal Health Center. She says, “When you love your job, it's not a job.”

Peggy Stone

Kennel Worker

Peggy started working at Animal Health Center of Dexter in December of 2016 as a Kennel Worker. She has one daughter. Peggy loves her two cats: Sissy & Bile.
Receptionists

Delaney Flowers

Receptionist

Delaney graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a B.S. in Political Science. Delaney has three pets, one dog, Pepper, and two cats, Martha & Winnie. She started working for Animal Health Center of Dexter in July of 2019 as a receptionist.

Yvonne Morley

Receptionist

Yvonne has two fur babies: Dyna & Rukus. She has three children.She started working for Animal Health Center of Dexter in December of 2016. Yvonne has also worked at Stoddard Animal Clinic.

Shyann Larsen

Receptionist and Veterinary Technician Assistant

Shyann started working for Animal Health Center of Dexter in 2019 as a Kennel Worker and currently works as Receptionist/ veterinary technician assistant.
She has two dogs, Raine and Miley, two horses, goats, chickens, ducks, and cows
